Sequence of Decay (gif)
This is my sequence of decay. For this I froze some water that was mixed with red food dye to make it more interesting. The water was in a pot, this was to get the dome effect.
I used a tripod to keep the camera steady between shots, as well as using the built in timer in the camera so I wouldn't have to touch it to prevent any movement.
Overall it took 71 shots for the ice to melt completely, taking a shot every five minutes. The camera was set to raw with an ISO 100, the aperture was 2.5" and the shutter speed was f11.
There wasn't many challenges as I had the timer and didn't have to wait every five minutes to take a picture.
I tried to block out any natural light so through out the day I wouldn't get any shifts in lighting, as it took over 5 hours and the ice wasn't completely melted by then, I had to stop as the battery on the camera died.

Its a shame the battery ran out because the sequence is very stable both in lighting and lack of shake
